A Pennsylvania fire department has unveiled a new underwater drone that it will use for search and recovery operations for both local and regional operations. During river and other marine calls, human divers can be limited by the supply of oxygen, as well as the temperature and conditions of the water. Divers might only be able to operate for about 20 minutes, whereas the drone might be able to go for as long as three hours.
