The Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) has delayed its proposed drone registration system until mid-2020 in order to allow for industry consultation on fees. The rules will require all drone flyers to gain an accreditation – that is, watch an online video and successfully answer a short quiz to demonstrate they understand the drone safety rules – or hold a remote pilot licence.
