Hanwha Group, is seeking to purchase the entire stake of US air taxi startup Overair and buy into two other aerospace-related companies as it bets big on future mobility. According to industry sources on Mar. 29, the South Korean company plans to increase its stake in Overair to 100% from the current 30% in a bid to enhance its competitiveness in the fast-growing urban air mobility (UAM) business. Hanwha is also expected to purchase certain stakes in a US satellite firm and a Canadian drone and antenna company, said the sources with direct knowledge of the matter.
